Ever thought to yourself... "Why have they done that?" or "Who made that decision?"

Well now you can actually have an influence on the decisions that are made regarding you and all young people! There is a group of young people (like yourselves) who care, just like you do, about improving Stoke-on-Trent!

Who are RESPECT?

RESPECT (or the Citywide Youth Forum) are a group of 11-18 year olds from around the City who speak up on behalf of all young people! There are democratically elected (which means they were voted into their positions) and help Stoke-on-Trent to become more young people friendly.

What do RESPECT do?

RESPECT campaign and work for better facilities and opportunities for young people! They campaign under the headings of, Law & Society; Culture, Media & Sport; Transport & Employment; Education & Skills; International Matters; Environment & rural Affairs, and Health.

They speak to Councillors, the Lord Mayor, the elected Mayor, and everybody else who make decisions for Stoke-on-Trent.

Want to get involved?

It’s easy! Do you have an opinion about something in Stoke-on-Trent? Whether it is good or bad?! If you think RESPECT need to get involved to help, or just want to share experiences then contact us on youth.participation@stoke.gov.uk as we want to hear from you!
